Systems Engineer, Development and Integration in Northern Virginia

We are looking for hands-on, technical systems engineers who can provide a comprehensive perspective on systems, especially around the architecture, development, and integration of emerging and existent technologies.


  • Experience working as a Linux Systems Administrator in a production environment
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining services and enhancements; installing, configuring, and * patching software and middleware components; troubleshooting user issues; and performing system * automation (writing, testing, and implementing scripts)
  • Demonstrated experience with Amazon cloud services (or similar cloud services and frameworks)
  • Demonstrated on the job experience with the systems development life cycle, preferably for large, * complex, data-heavy systems
  • Strong requirements development gathering, and translation skills
  • Excellent, client-facing communication skills. Ability to work with engineers and non-technical team * members. Ability to brief senior-level customers
  • Ability to provide analysis, insight, metrics, reporting, and guidance on areas including, but not * limited, to: the technical components of a system and the relationships between those components, * system dependencies, infrastructure requirements, software/tools/methodologies, data, integration, * validation, and security
  • Experience with project management frameworks
  • TS/SCI

Preferred (In Descending Order):

  • DevOps experience: continuous integration, testing, development, and delivery
  • Official Amazon Web Services training and or certifications
  • Experience with server automation and SCM tools
  • Hands-on experience working with big data and cloud systems
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
